The University of Utah, “The U”,. is located in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah’s capital city, Salt Lake City. The U is just minutes away from a vibrant and culturally diverse downtown and from bike trails in the mountains.
The U is a public coeducational space-grant research university with an enrollment of 33,000 students from around the globe.
The Green Party Annual National Meeting will be held at the Peterson Heritage Center on campus at The U. It is located in “The Heritage Center Commons”, which includes 29 state-of-the-art residence halls built to house athletes participating in the 2002 Winter Olympics hosted by Salt Lake City. Today, more than 2,000 students live in these on-campus residences, and the Peterson Heritage Center is the hub of this section of campus. The location is a popular and comfy hang out for residents, as well as where the dining hall is located.
The Heritage Center is a full service conference center with state of the art audio visual equipment. There is plenty of room for plenaries and workshops, as well as many areas for informal networking.
